one of the new year resolutions

I meet with a mentor of mine two days ago. We were talking about life and stuff, and I shared with him that my faith/active relationship with God is very stagnant. It's weird, I actually had a more vibrant "walk" (hate that term) with God when I worked at P&G in the corporate world,...prior to joining a church staff. I have realized in many ways I have let the work I "do" for God take president over my relationship with Him. So one of my New Year resolutions is to do NO work for God until I connect with Him first. Now being that my vocation is also my main ministry, I assume the crap will hit the fan real fast. So I pasted this little sign I made above my computer in my office.



I really hope this is more successful than my weight-loss resolution from last year!
